Frequently asked questions FAQ

How many lectures will we need to attend?

Just like all the elective courses, the attendance of all lectures is required. We have scheduled 6 occassions for the semester.

Will there be self-controls or exams?

It is obligatory to judge the knowledge of the attendees for all elective courses. A short and very easy test will be handed out during the last lecture. Don't worry, the basic knowledge of a 2-3rd year med. student plus the acquired material is far enough to get an excellent grade.

Am I eligible to attend the lectures?

Biophysics is a prerequisite for the course. It is advised that students interested in radiology, diagnostic imaging, neurology or neurosciences attend, but it is not required.

I missed a lecture. :( Do you have electronic learning materials?

The presentations are available on request, and further reading will be posted on this website.

How the course would help me out during my future carreer?

The course gives insight into new imaging techniqes that help to visualize, measure and understand the properties of the functioning human brain. This knowledge reaches further than the curriculum of diagnostic radiology.
